A Vision Beyond Expectations
For one Reno, NV homeowner, creating a sanctuary for her extended family meant transforming a traditional home into a stunning villa. Initially imagining a simpler remodel, she realized the complexity of the project and leaned on the expertise of her architect, designer, and PB team members. Together, they crafted a home that not only met but far exceeded her expectations.
“It’s not the home I initially envisioned, which is good, because this home is so much more spectacular than I could have imagined,” said the homeowner.
A Grand Transformation
The original 6,000-square-foot structure was demolished, giving way to a 9,400-square-foot villa with an additional 4,200 square feet of storage, patios, and decking. Completed in just 12 months, the home’s design also includes advanced features like five separate HVAC zones and a cutting-edge automation system to control lighting, audio, visual, and telecommunications.
A Modern Mediterranean Retreat
The villa’s design artfully blends Italian and modern aesthetics. Gathering spaces flow effortlessly toward breathtaking city views and inviting outdoor retreats, including gardens, pools, and seating areas. The exterior combines EIFS in varied colors and textures with red brick, Spanish tile roofing, and Italian stone pavers, exuding timeless elegance.
Refined Interiors with Warmth
Inside, the home is a showcase of luxurious craftsmanship. Floors transition from natural hardwood to custom epoxy finishes, and counters of marble, granite, stainless steel, and tile provide both form and function. Custom casework, faux-painted walls, and drapery enhance the interiors, bringing texture and warmth to the villa’s modern feel.

The project was featured in Reno Magazine, celebrating the seamless collaboration between PB, the architect, and the designer. Their combined effort ensured every detail of the home served the homeowner’s vision, creating a stunning family retreat that embodies elegance and practicality.
