Jami's introduction to the construction industry was born out of necessity during a recession. Originally aiming to carve a career in the culinary world, Jami found it challenging to make a decent living. This led her to pivot towards construction, a decision that has since proven to be both rewarding and fulfilling.
Jami holds an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of Chicago. Although her degree is not in construction, her background in culinary arts has equipped her with unique skills in precision, creativity, and project management, which have translated well into her construction career. Her certifications include the Association of General Contractors (AGC) Project Management Bootcamp and Western Nevada College (WNC) Certification in Construction Management.
Jami's strengths in construction management lie in her project versatility and excellent people skills. She loves looking at the big picture and following a project from conceptualization through completion. Describing herself as outgoing, tenacious, and determined, Jami is a go-getter who brings a proactive approach to her work.
Outside of work, Jami is deeply involved in volunteering within the recovery field, reflecting her commitment to giving back to the community. She is passionate about food, maintaining a strong connection to her culinary roots. Additionally, Jami loves to hike and travel, which allows her to explore new places and stay active.
