The Urban Green is a modern park and open space which covers nearly two acres in the Reno Entertainment District (RED). Set amid a large-scale, mixed-use development that includes multiple apartment complexes, the Green offers space for entertainment, gathering, events, and relaxation. There is a lot of meaning in the park— the designer included representations of the Reno-Tahoe region’s climate, terrain, and flora to create “garden experiences.”
Amenities include a pavilion, LED screen, and a shaded venue area for food trucks and outdoor lighting.
Plenium Builders worked together with the developer to provide preconstruction and construction services for the project. The team executed the construction in the center of an array of ongoing vertical construction projects and many nearby local businesses including a movie theater, offices, banking, restaurant, and retail – all without interruption or impacts. PB was honored to be part of this slice of Reno’s urban redevelopment and to contribute our efforts to an important and impactful community space.
